Toyota Rumion based on Ertiga is all set to launch in india this year

In 2021 toyota launch there MPV rumion in south Africa. Its also a joint venue of Suzuki and Toyota or  a rebadged product of both these companies. So in recent time there are many models which are shared in between maruti suzuki and Toyota.  Same as in india, after the succeful launch of maruti Suzuki invicto a rebadged product of Toyota innova.  Now maruti share there product ERTIGA with Toyota which is also now launch in india as RUMION. It may be ecpected as the rumion may launch in October 2023 or in early of 2024.

Here are some of the specifications of the rumion

From the front of the vehicle Toyota rumion look like exact an ertiga with just brand logo change. So from the front the vehicle comes with a low beam projector and a high beam refector headlight and indicator too in a same headlight. In center a big chrome grill with Toyota logo. under the bumper the MPV come with fog light too. LED floating DRL indicator on the side mirror.
On the back the car got a big rear brake light with all the lights. And reflector on the rear bumper.and a boot space door. Its  a seven 7 seater, two wheel drive MUV with Length of 4395mm, Width of 1735 and wheelbase around 2740.

ENGINE

Rumion comes with 1.5 Liter (1460cc) petrol engine with 5 speed manual gearbox and 4 speed automatic gear system. Its a 4 cylinder engine which produce max power of 103bhp@6000 rpm and max torque of 138nm@4400rpm. Company claim 21 to 26 kmpl milage on it.

FUEL

The rumion comes with Petrol and CNG two fuel options. On the petrol it gives around 20 to 24 kmpl mileage with 45 liter of fuel tank capacity.

BRAKE and SUSPENSION

The vehicle come with both coil spring suspension in front and on the back. On the front McPherson strut and on the rear Torsion Beam coil spring. On the brake side in the front it’s a disk brake and on the rear it comes with drum brake system.

The rumion is a 7 seater MPV so it’s a spacious and comfortable car with the length of 4395mm, width of 1735mm height 1690mm and wheel base of 2740mm. kerb weight of 1150 to 1200kg and gross weigth of 1785kg.

The S model- in the south Africa model we get black exterior mirror and radiator grill in the front. colour matching bumpers, and big high mount LED brake rear lights, and also get defogger on the back window. it also got the folding seats on the middle row. in the S model the air conditioner system flow air through the cup holders. in the interior we also got a 12v power outlet, power window, tilt adjustable steering, the S model got a 15inch steel rim.

The SX model- the sx model get a same colour door handles with a electronic adjustable foldable mirror, on the front side the rumion SX model get a chrome treatment on the radiator grill, on the back it get a rear window wiper. and also a rear window defogger, remote control central locking system, a 12v power outlet, in the inside Rumion got control on the steering wheels, also got rear air conditioner system, the vehicle also get the same 15inch steel rim but it got a stylish wheel hubcap over the wheel.

the biggest question is what is the price range would be of the Toyota Rumion, so the price range is expected in between base model 8.50 lakhs to 13.86 lakh Indian rupees.
