first of all we talk about the company of it, so the company Baojun, established in 2003. it is a Chinese automobile manufacturer or a Brand which is owned by GM (general moters) and its Chinese partner SAIC and Wuling Motors, its a joint venture. this brand is specially made for chinese market to bring affordable transport.
company is planning to introduce there YEP model in indian market but viral news are like this specific model may be introduce by MG (Morris Garages) with rebadging in India.
Now lets see about the Baojun YEP model
The Yep is a micro or compact SUV. if we talk about its quick measurement its just under 3,381mm in length, width 1,685mm and 1,721mm tall and the wheelbase is 2,110mm.
The Baojun Yep is a compact or micro electric SUV, which is based on the comet, comet is also based on Global Small Electric Vehicle (GSEV) platform, right now this model made its global debut in China. This new compact SUV gets ADAS systems and a rear axle single-motor mount. this car get a 303km range from its 28.1kWh battery pack. It gets an LCD screen. same as Comet the YEP is also like a boxy design. but it look good than the comet. the yep look like a small shape of jimny and ford bronco. vehicle also get quad- daytime running LED lights.
from the photos and from some chinese media articles the Yep SUV gets 15-inch alloy wheels. in the rear suv equipped with oval-shaped tail-lamps and a LCD screen on the tailgate.
INTERIOR
The Yep SUV gets a steering wheel as the hatchback, but it get three spoke rather than two-spoke design. The SUV also have steering-mounted controls, while the design of the dashboard are very similar. SUV also get a twin-screen layout with two 10.25-inch displays – one for the infotainment system and the other for the digital instrument cluster. the yep suv also get a rear view camera, battery temperature management system, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, heated front seats and four USB ports.
EXTERIOR
From the front the Yep suv get 4-4 LED DRL in 2 main headlights, and a logo in front center, the SUV not get any fog lamps. but also get sensors in front. Suv is equipped with projector headlamp. from the front the suv get a full ABS or plastic bumper.
as you know this suv is same as comet, so YEP also get only two door option but its a five seater suv. from the side SUV also get roof rails,wide body over tyre, the suv get silver and black alloys.
from the rear the SUV get a big rear glass and round shape rear light, also get parking and rear sensors, and a plastic or ABS rear bumper, SUV also get reflectors too. the SUV get a rear screen which can control by mobile app. or you can say a FUN screen to display emoji.
suv get a big boot space after fold rear seats, Yep SUV comes with a single electric motor on the rear axle which generates 68hp and 140Nm of torque, and also get the top speed of 100kph which may be limited.
BATTERY and RANGE
This power comes from a 28.1kWh lithium-ion phosphate battery, which give approx a range of up to 303km. with DC charger battery can charged 30-80 in just 35-40 minutes where as on a AC charging station it takes upto 8 hours to charge uto 80 percent.
PRICE
The pricing of baojun YEP model in the chinese local market starts at 79,800 Yuan to 89,800 yuan if converted into indian rupees its approximately 9.28 lakh to 10.45 lakh indian rupees.
